About Us
The practice was founded by Mr. William Johnston FRICS in Carlisle in 1959 and has since expanded throughout Cumbria, with an office in Cockermouth supporting the registered office at Oaklands, Green Lane, Crosby-on-Eden, Carlisle, CA6 4QN.

In 1996 the name Johnstons replaced W. Johnston & Partners and was a name change only.

Johnstons, Chartered Quantity Surveyors were incorporated as a Limited Liability Partnership in 2004 and registered in England (No. OC309099).

The practice has a wide experience in all aspects of quantity surveying, both in the public and private sector, over a varied spectrum of building types, covering large and small schemes, new build, heritage, refurbishment and maintenance work.

Johnstons LLP is registered with Constructionline (No. 10658) and, as part of our continual improvement programme,  is a practice Regulated by RICS (No. 003831).

The practice operates a Quality Assurance System aligned with BS EN ISO 9001 and is a full member of Quality Guild (No.QG 0670).

Johnstons LLP is a Corporate Member of the Association for Project Safety, (No.050007) and our qualified and registered CDM Co-ordinators offer independent construction health & safety and CDM related advice.
